Today starts a new series on my blog called Treasury Tuesdays. Every Tuesday I will feature one or two of my favorite treasuries on Etsy. For the "non-etsians", a treasury is a pictorial list of 16 of your favorite items on Etsy. Usually they are built around a theme or a color. For shop owners like me, they can be an integral part of gaining exposure for your product or service, as well as promoting other wonderful shops on Etsy.
They are also just plain fun to build. I love coming up with a theme or a play on words and finding the perfect pieces to go along with it. And, like everything in life, there is always a bit of competition involved. Treasury hits, favorites, and comments are tracked on the site so you can see how well one of yours does. It might even end up on the front page of Etsy which can generate a lot of exposure for those shops included and for the treasury creator.
